Feeling overwhelmed? These 5 steps will help you!

Hi, lovely Soul Drop!!

How are you feeling? I’m exhausted and somewhat calm!

It’s only the second week of my trimester, and I swear I feel I have been run over already!

Maybe you’re also feeling overwhelmed? Don’t worry! Let’s see what we can do about it.

1. Pay attention to yourself! Take five minutes of your time and stop whatever you’re doing and ask yourself how you actually feel. Are you tired? Do you feel any pain?

Feeling overwhelmed is similar to the sensation of drowning or lifting something extremely heavy.

2. Find the root of the problem. There are a thousand reasons why you could be feeling this way so you must find out the main reason for it. How long has it been going on? Are you feeling like this often?

3. Take steps towards a solution. Most of the time we feel overwhelmed due to stressful situations, lack of sleep or proper eating. Once you know what triggers this emotion you will have a clearer vision of what to do to solve it.

4. Take care of yourself! As I already said, sleep deprivation, undernourishment and overworking will lead you to feel extremely overwhelmed even if you are not facing a huge problem. So, be sure to: eat, sleep, rest and manage your time wisely!

5. Build a safety net. We all need someone to lean on from time to time! Just like the safety net is designed to catch the acrobat if they fall, this safety net is composed of people who deeply care about you and will catch you when you fall.

So there you have it! Five easy steps to ease (at least a little bit) feeling overwhelmed! Do you have any tips you would like to share? Do you think someone might need to read this? Share it and join our community! Where Kind Souls connect.

With much love,

Bel.
